Planters

You will notice our planters are very versatile and customize-able. The planter boxes are made with 1″ thick cedar or cypress. Cedar is a good choice for the planter boxes because it contains natural occurring oils and does not absorb heat like most woods. This makes the planter boxes more resistant to rotting and your plants will require less watering. Cypress is also a good rot resistant wood. The planter boxes can be accessorized with spoked wheels, rotary hoe wheels and legs made with cedar, horseshoes or railroad spikes.

Here are some of the planters I have built. If you see a box you like that has been sold, contact me and I should be able to build one very similar for you. Prices generally run between $150 and $250.

This large box is made with 1 3/8″ thick cypress finished with tung oil. The overall height of this planter is 19″. The box is 33″ wide, 15″ tall and 16″ deep. $275

This cypress box is mounted on an antique stove base. The planter has an overall height of the piece is 16″ tall, width of 24″ and 18″ deep. The box will hold 5 3/4″ of dirt.

This large wagon wheel planter is 36″ long, 13″ wide and 13″ deep. The metal parts are finished with a clear enamel. The cedar is 1″ thick. This planter is sold but a similar planters are priced at $275

This cedar planter is 30″long, 13″ wide and 11″ deep and painted black. It has genuine horseshoe legs. $125

This piece includes an antique chain, wooden wheel tire and cauldron or wash pot. It stands 55 1/2″ tall, the ring has a diameter of 43″ and the pot has a diameter of 23″.
