Wagon Wheel Benches
One of my best sellers is my wagon wheel benches. Once construction of the benches begins, much of the effort for the bench has already been done. I find most of my wheels out of state. They come off of 100 or so year old grain wagons and horse drawn farm implements. I buy most of my wood in log form and take them to be milled. It will take 2 years or more of air drying before the slabs will be ready for a bench. Mesquite is a great looking wood for the benches but it will not resist harsh outdoor conditions like cedar and bodark (also called hedge or osage orange). These two have naturally occurring oils that resist rot. Bodark is extremely rot resistant. Feel free to contact me at www.sycamorecreekcreations.com for more information.
